First, here's what's new this week.

Obvious Choice Podcast Episodes:

Money

1.

Confusing customers with features and specs in a vain attempt to convince them your thing is better doesn’t solve their problem––it gives them more things to think about. Which causes delays.

Nothing about what you do matters if you don’t know what matters to them.

Once you know what they want, highlight one thing and tell them why it solves their problem. The easier you make their decision, the more obvious the choice their purchase will be.

2.

Relationships

1.

It’s easy to get caught up in the moment. When you were young, your parents likely told you to “count to 10” when you were angry. A simple pause can make all the difference.

2.

The people I admire aren’t the richest. No. They’re the ones who are the most unflinchingly themselves. The ones grounded in reality. The ones aware of what makes them happy. The ones who have time for the people that they love. Who don’t crave external validation because it comes from within.

A Few Good Quotes from a Great Book

"The motivations of men. They never make sense. And they always make sense.”

"You don’t understand a man until you understand what makes him do what he does. Every man is a hero in his own story, Princess."

"Most people who do what you’d call ‘wrong’ do it for what they call ‘right’ reasons."

From Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson
