Marathon’s used to be 25 miles long. For the London Olympics in 1908, Queen Alexandra asked that the race start on Windsor Castle’s lawn and end at the Olympic Stadium, a distance of 26.2 miles.
That’s it.
That’s why a modern marathon is 26.2 miles long and not 25.
The end of any race is nothing but a temporary marker without much significance.

In their paper called The Goldilocks Zone for Exercise, a team of cardiologists wrote that exercise can be thought of as a medicine.
“As with any powerful drug, establishing the ideal therapeutic window is of crucial importance. An ineffectively low dose will not impart full benefits, whereas the adverse effects stemming from an excessively high dose may overshadow potential benefits and introduce detriments.”
Upgrade your hardware by making your body stronger so that your software, your brain, can continue doing good work.
