On my 18th birthday I passed out drunk in a shopping cart and got wheeled home.
I was finding my way––awkward, anxious, and insecure.
Around that same time I started lifting weights.
As my muscles grew, I got more relaxed. A quiet confidence began to grow and I didn't need alcohol anymore.
I still enjoy a beer every now and then. But I don't need it, I choose to have it. There's a big difference.
In life, some days are good, some great, and some are hard. It's an inevitable truth.
Regular exercise helps me tackle life's challenges on those hard days.
I guess that's where the saying "hard workout, easy life" comes from.

2 Business Nuggets
1.
Here's a great structure for any social media post:
Hook
Story
Punch
Hook needs to meet them where they're at and grab the attention of the right people.
Story gives a touch of context but it's gotta be quick.
Punch leaves with a laugh, food for thought, or idea to chew on.
Short videos follow the same format. Click here for an example of a video on IG where the punch is a laugh.

2.
Because of the internet, we get overwhelmed by how many people are trying to do the exact same things we were.
The search should not be for what would work best, but for how to be our best selves. No one will understand you. It is not, ultimately, that important. What is important is that you understand you.
1 Quote to Consider
"As young people, we’re told what to do, how to think, and when to show up places. Success is simple to understand: good grades are good and bad grades are bad. And then we grow up and realize that life isn’t best lived by the kind of guy who only eats cheese in single slices. The rules aren’t black and white; moreso, greyish. For the ambitious, this ambiguity is hard to reconcile."

There's, like, 5 million leaves out of my window that I need to rake up today. As much as I'd LOVE to put it off even longer by writing a long and drawn out sign-off message (probably) nobody ever reads, I should really get to it.
