Money
1.
On investment seasons vs. harvest seasons
I think about how to organize my time in two ways: investment seasons and harvest seasons. Some seasons require financial investment (education, equipment, hiring a coach).
Other seasons are focused on monetizing those investments.
At any given time, identify which season you are in and create a sustainable cycle where each investment season is funded by the previous harvest season.

In 1949, there was a National gallup poll that asked adults to identify the biggest mistake of their life so far. Just a few years later, in 1953, a similar poll was conducted with a variation on the question. It asked “if you could live your life over again, would you live it in much the same way as you have, or would you live it differently?”The first question identifies mistakes, the second regrets. In response to the first question, over sixty-nine percent were willing to admit a mistake. Less than forty-percent, on the other hand, said that they’d live differently if they could do it again.
Think about a recent mistake that you made. Got it. OK, now, because it happened in the past, you can consider the impact that it's had on you.
Surely it challenged you. Strengthened your resolve. Taught you a thing or two about yourself, about others, and about how your world works. Maybe it changed your path, setting you down the road you’re on now.
Do you actually regret your mistake? Or, with the benefit of hindsight, are you oddly grateful for that terrible thing that happened because of what it taught you, how it strengthened you, and what it led to? You needn’t wish for something to happen in order to be grateful that it did.
3.
Doing great work in your local community and earning a modest-yet-good-enough living so that you can go home at the end of the day to a loving spouse, gifts of freshly baked treats, and a good book sounds weird in our modern hustle culture where you’re told that if you’re not getting ahead, you’re not doing enough. But, for many of us, this lifestyle appeals.

Change happens as a result of intensity and is then maintained by consistency. A rocket burns 90% of its fuel during liftoff, fighting Earth's gravity and atmosphere. Once in orbit, it glides effortlessly. New habits follow this cosmic principle: the initial push demands enormous energy to break old routines, but maintain it long enough, and momentum takes over, requiring only minimal adjustments.

Relationships
1.
Buy dates for others.
Buy movie tickets for your parents, just because.
If you have a good dinner, get a gift certificate before you leave. Think of a friend who’d enjoy the place and give it to them. Offer to stuff their kids full of pizza and watch a movie with them so Mom and Dad can enjoy a night out.
Most people never do anything for themselves. Give them an excuse to.

Huge QuickCoach Feature Announcement - Video Library is Live
QuickCoach is free software for trainers to use with their clients.
Over 40,000 coaches have registered to use it to train clients both in-person and online.
I'm excited to share that we now have an optional exercise library for you to use. There's 500 exercises in there now with another 1,000 being added soon.
We've provided the name, video, and description.
You can import some (or all) into your account and customize any aspect.
What's even cooler is that this was a community project.
Instead of hiring models, we combined licensing existing videos from QuickCoach users and got others to create new ones.
Then we paid other QC users to do the descriptions and do checks on form.
I've heard trainers complain about other video libraries from other software platforms showing bad form, having weird descriptions, or not showcasing realistic body types.
You won't get that with QuickCoach. We truly are for trainers, by trainers.
Existing user? Check it out!
Created an account before but stopped using QC? See what's new!
Brand new? Test-drive QuickCoach today. It's free!
