The Top Article of the Week
We all know that one person who makes everything look easy, from work, to family life, to fitness. As coaches we see other coaches who do this, and as fitness enthusiasts we see clients, gym members and friends who breeze through their training and nutrition.
There's another side to the coin, you might find being a trainer tough, and/or notice that certain clients make everything seem impossible, despite giving them similar guidelines and support to the rest of your clients.
The truth is, yes, some people cope better than others in a given situation. But even those who seem to live a perfect, easy life, are normal people, with normal flaws. We all make mistakes from time to time, and we all have distractions.
We can learn to be aware of anything which might hinder us, and how to be a bit better, one step at a time. Once we become accustomed to this way of thinking 'better is better', we can teach our clients to apply it to themselves to get better results.
Extremes aren't realistic or particularly relevant to the majority of our clients. Moderation and patience aren't particularly attractive - they are however, effective and sustainable. This week's top article will show you the practical aspects of coaching, step-by-step, as opposed to taking an ineffective 'black or white' approach.
