Six Lessons From My First Year of Training Youth Athletes -- Kyle Davey, kyledavey.com
For his first nine years in the fitness industry, Kyle Davey worked with gen-pop clients. The transition to training youth athletes in the past year wasn't just a coaching challenge. He had to learn how to communicate with his new clients as well as their parents.
To my surprise, all six of Davey's lessons are very much applicable to my own business, and I work exclusively with gen-pop clients.
The big lesson: Some coaching principles are universal. No matter who your clients are, you'll find insights in Davey's article that apply to your personal training career.

Three Strategies to Train Through Shoulder Pain -- Andrew Coates, T Nation
Your client injures his right shoulder. Now what? Should you stop all shoulder training except for rehab on the right side? Should you train both shoulders evenly, but with a lighter load? Or should you train only the healthy shoulder, and train it hard?
Before reading this article, I would've told you option number three is asinine. The client is already going to have a muscular imbalance, due to atrophy on the injured side. Why the heck would we make that worse by training heavy on the healthy side?
Believe it or not, Andrew Coates' article makes a compelling case for that approach.
